Thoughts

Extract from a poem by Henry Scott Holland I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant; it is the same as it ever was. Thank you ever so much for choosing to support the work of the British Lung Foundation by creating this Breath of Life Fund online tribute in loving memory of Davena Balnave. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing your page and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to. It has been designed to be a truly lasting tribute for perpetuity for future generations to see.

You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she's gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. Author Unknown

My Granny was an Angel. She touched the lives and hearts of so many, spreading happiness, laughter and joy – and I will always remember her that way. When I heard she'd left us, I could feel my heart break. I could feel the earth rotating, despite standing still and I couldn't hide my grief. I can't say it doesn't hurt, because it does, but as long as we never forget all her kindness, we can all live our lives with the love she gave us and the memories we cherish.
